Dazed and Confused wins Semi-Finals! Some text from the judges blog:
Actually, it could have been that my head was swimming from Dazed and Confused ’cause I saw Robert Plant in Philly about 20 years ago and when I closed my eyes I felt like I was actually listening to Zeppelin. On Sunday, those guys sounded more like live Zeppelin than Zeppelin does now. I’ve obviously seen Dazed and Confused perform before and although they were great, Sunday’s performance was really exceptional.

Dazed and Confused wins Semi-Finals! Some text from the judges blog:
"Walking around the room afterward, asking people who they think should’ve won, it seemed to be a general consensus that Dazed and Confused deserved the win ... In my mind, Dazed and Confused was a no-brainer
Would have to say that two of my top five most all time memorable UMC moments happened last night: those being Dazed and Confused’s super risky cover of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” and Deeper Purple’s “Space Truckin
They really just captured (Since I've Been Loving You). They took that song off the vinyl, put it in a bottle and released it when they got to the DreamCatcher.
Also, it should be noted that the song they followed it with, and closed on, “How Many More Times,” was an absolutely brilliant choice. It’s not an overplayed Zep tune by any means, in fact, some people may not have known it, but it such a grungy, riff-heavy song which starts out rocking, breaks down (well done on the breakdown on that one boys) and then comes in after the break like a monster from Hell – just slamming it home on the conclusion of the set. I just can’t say enough about it.

Dazed and Confused wins first round! Some text from the judges blog: "...Dazed and Confused! Congratulations you non-mistake-making-twice-and-returning-with-a-vengeance sumbitches! That was the stuff you got to watch! (to quote Tomcat Courtney).... You guys rocked it last night. And as a reward for your glorious victory, I thought it appropriate to let none other than Ronnie James Dio write your review..." read the full story here: http://www.ultimatemusicchallenge.com/umcblogfour/?p=3129
Dazed and Confused, by their hard hitting, throat shredding, ass kicking, head banging, panty attracting, hottie magnet selves won – and they deserved it…and I had one of the most fun times it’s possible to have in Alpine, Ca…. lol…
About Dazed and Confused's rendition of Kashmir: "...that song, so majestic, so epic, just put the room into a trance. There must have been at least three or four times when goose pimples ran up and down my arms as they brought the crowd in and out of our hypnotized states and finished to an uproarious applause."
You were f*cking AWESOME on Saturday!!! It was, no doubt, the highlight of the fair. Great job! (BTW, that drummer is SICK! Damn, he makes it easy on you guys, eh? I was thoroughly impressed. Looking forward to the 4th at Gallagher’s, buddy. Keep on rockin.
"I was just telling Chad how great I thought you guys were. I think you put on a great show, I stayed for the whole time and the friends that I came with reflected my feelings as well! I personally thought y'all were great! Have I said the word great enough?"
"Dazed was a treat for the crowd. It was the third Zep band that has opened for us at Canes. There was more than one person that came up tome and said you guys were the best! "
Hi Gentlemen, This is Marshall from Stay Classy. We thought your set (at Cane's) rocked, and are so glad you're on board for the Charity Crawl! Thanks, again!
"You guys rocked it once again!!! It has been forever since I went out and I guess my friend and I picked a killer night to come out. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys perform. I can not wait to see you guys play again."
"Great Music! You are truly the best and closest sounding to Zep I have ever heard, tis a pleasure to listen to your music!"
I've been a die-hard Zep fan since back in the day, and Dazed & Confused blew me away when I saw them locally a few months ago. The band is really tight and the lead singer totally channels Robert Plant. Better yet, they don't "dress up" to try to look like the band (which can just be so cheesy!!)
We went to the show on Sat. night (Belly Up Tavern-11/3/07). Being a Zep fan from the early 70's I thought you guys nailed it! Outstanding show! Very talented. Can't wait to see you again for a longer set. The band has the power, energy and the positive attitude that keeps Zep alive...Thanks again!!! Looking forward to the next show!
Hey Jason! It was great to meet you Friday night (Canes-1/18/08). You guys did it again! The house was rocking!! The whole set was awesome, but "How Many More Times" was over the top!!! Looking forward to the next show. Take care, Nick
I was at the show (Gallagher's 12/6/08) with my sister and 2 other friends. We want you guys to know we had a blast. Thanks for the great show !
Jason, you guys f@!%en ROCK!!!!!! I must say that your show was one of the best ive ever seen, I have seen Bob Dylan and Foo Fighters and many other live bands and your remix of Led is the up there. I think everyone who is a Led fan should go to your shows. Your drummer and lead guitarist just kill it, that drum solo at PB (710 Beach Club) last month was insane.
You guys ROCKED!! Hey guys, Thanks for the killer show at Belly Up (6/23).
Met Andy and Jeff, and you guys were really super nice, thanks. Jason, my girl and I were real impressed with your vocals...gotta admit I came for the AP's (Atomic Punks) but you guys turned us back onto Zepplin!! (heck, I didn't even know she was a fan, but she knew every song!)
Thanks for awesome night!
I had the time of my life seeing you guys at Canes! :D (Canes: 1/18/08)
You guys were awesome at Winston's last night. Thanks for putting on such a great show!
